 We decided not to fuss with a walk on the Monday morning but to head for home asap.  I reckoned there might be a few students living in the complex. As we turned for Queensberry St into Rathdowne St I noticed a lot of cyclists, mainly heading down Rathdowne.  Those that turned into Queensberry did hook turns.  Frances took a photo of the peloton a little further along, going down Exhibition St. Note particularly the young woman with red hair and a pink top.  She was still alongside us when we got to Margaret Court Arena, 1.5km down the road.  I didn't think we got held up much by lights etc. A small delay at Cardinia Rd due to what was claimed as a prang, but I am quite sure was actually due to tailback from some trivial roadworks about 1 km further down the road. A quiet day in Canberra

It was a pretty cloudy day with Black Mountain Tower barely visible. The sunrise was quite impressive ... ... especially when zoomed in to Mount Ainslie. Black Mountain Tower was even more hidden! We did our walk through Reid this morning with lots of colourful leaves and several Camellia hedges. King Parrots and Rock Doves feeding on fallen acorns. Later in the morning we went to the Fyshwick Markets for some essential supplies.  This beer was an add-on, in memory of buying some of this at the brewery when we passed through Bury St Edmunds in about 2010.  I am fairly sure what we got on site was real IPA - on looking at the can it turns out this is 3.3% ABV so would barely have made it past Lands End let alone to India.  Love in a canoe! This is what I went to Plonk to acquire.  Apparently Mr the Boatman is making another batch in view of Albo getting across the line.  A much more enjoyable drop. Tour (yes) Magical (not so much), Mystery (very much)

This covers the last day of our trip to Dunkeld and is almost completely devoted to the drive back to Mallacoota.  We rose from our beds promptly and did a short stroll around the walled garden, packed the car and headed off.  There was a small diversion to drop the photo album we had been lent back in the meter box at the Catholic Church. We set off at pretty much exactly 0800 hours with Polly (we were using Google Maps rather than the Mazda system) suggesting we'd be home by 1710.  The drive along the Glenelg Highway to Streatham was uneventful apart from getting foggy near Streatham.  Once we turned North the only excitement was the number of wind turbines.  As we approached those photographed on the way down  we could see a lot more that had been out of sight heading South.  Frances did a count and concluded that it was over 100 turbines in a number of farms.
